Pend Oreille River
Driving from Spokane along the National Highway 2 and after passing Newport, the town on the border in between Washington and Idaho, you can reach into Idaho state. Pend Oreille River is originated from Canadian border area and gradually grow its width around Newport. The highway will turn to the east toward Sandpoint and go along with Pend Oreille River. From Newport, yo can enjoy the beautiful scene of Alberni Falls Dam, Priest River, Riley Creek and other many wonderful place and really enjoyable for the driving.
