Coeur d' Alene is the town named with French. The meaning is like "The heart of gimlet" and the meaning is from the negotiation attitude of the ancient tributes. The other name of the city is "Lake Town" and addressed on a encycropedia as "the one of the most beautiful lake in the world". This city is a typical "sight seeing city" and is a county sheet of Kootenai county, with 30,000 population. You can enjoy the board walk at the lake shore of Coeur d' Alene Lake and fishing, camping and boat trip through the lake.
Coeur d'Alene is the county seat of Kootenai County and it is the 6th largest city in IDAHO. Located at the junction of Interstate 90 and U.S. Highway 95, Coeur d'Alene city is bound on the south by Lake Coeur d'Alene, which serves as the major attraction for downtown. With city beaches, parks and docks, the lake is easily accessible for swimming, boating, picnicking and water-related sports. Lake Coeur d'Alene, called one of the world's most beautiful lakes by The Encyclopedia Brittanica, extends 23 miles to the south and has 109 miles of shoreline.
The first time I visited here was in 1977 and I could ejoy boat trip on Lake Coeur d'Alene and was so impressive. In 2002 October, also had a chance to visit here but not so long. I want to try to have a longer time to enjoy this great area in next occasion.
