The name "Broadway" is of course the name of the road across Manhattan Island but it also stand for the Musical Theaters and the plays as well. New York is called "Non sleeping town" because those entertainment spots, bars, clubs, theaters are anytime intoxicating the people who really love this exciting city. Here I try to introduce the information for your entertainment, including Musical, Music, Jazz, Dance and Nightlife.

MUSICAL
Musical is representing the entertainment in New York City. New York's musical has recently three categories, (On) Broadway, Off Broadway and Off-Off Broadway. They are mainly divided into each category by theater's size, hosted companies and have definite difference. Here I will introduce some of those exciting musical information especially featuring on the theaters.

OPERA, CLASSIC, BALLET
New York City provides not only entertainment show such as dance, musical or rock and roll and jazz, but also very sophisticated artistic and historical styled performances such as opera, classic concert and ballet. Mostly, those great performance base should be in Lincoln Center located in the Upper West Side.

MOVIE
Of course, New York City has a lot of Film Theater which cover from the Hollywood brand new film to the classic great works or avant-garde movies. It would be the nice time for you to spend your time in the theater, located in New York, where is often on the screen as the great stage, to watch the old fine films.

DANCE
New York City is the Mecca for the dancers and the person who loves watching the dancing performance. The numbers of "companies", "performances" and "dancers" are actually world largest. You can find a lot of small dance theaters in Greenwich Village and East Village. Here are the 3 big dance theater in Midtown and Chelsea.

JAZZ, LIVE
There are a lot of bars and clubs which offer the live play of Jazz especially in the downtown area. There are two categories among those clubs, the one is with table seats and the other not. If you try to enjoy the formar, it's better to reserve in advance. The charging style should be slightly different among clubs, you should better check the web site or other information beforehand.

CLUB, BAR

Actually, so many clubs and bars are standing in this small island of Manhattan, New York City.
