The Meatpacking District (MPD) , once known as Gansevoort Market, is a neighborhood in the New York City borough of Manhattan. It runs roughly from West 16th Street South to Gansevoort Street, and from the Hudson River east to Hudson Street. It was only a few years past since the area has been very popular. Not only for the shopping but for the walk, spending time at the cafe, enjoying lunch at the delicious restaurant and also staying at the stylish hotels here.
